Artificial Intelligence has played an increasingly important role in healthcare as well as modeling neurosurgical information. This course will arm neurosurgeons with an understanding of the process of Artificial Intelligence model development from conceptualization to implementation in clinical practice. Neurosurgeons with no or limited experience in computer programming as well as those with experience will be able to improve their knowledge and expertise. Artificial Intelligence experts will present the stages of Artificial Intelligence model design as well as roadblocks that may be encountered. Neurosurgeons attending this course will be taught to formulate an Artificial Intelligence question within a clinical framework and to critically assess the strengths and limitations of Artificial Intelligence models in their various stages of design.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:1. Recognize and utilize AI models to address common neurosurgical clinical questions.2. Incorporate AI analyses into neurosurgical practice.3. Evaluate the reliability and efficacy of a given AI model.4. Assess various datasets and tools that moderate the development and use of artificial intelligence.
