We are thrilled to invite your neurosurgical residency program to participate in the 2021 CNS SANS Challenge! The SANS Challenge qualifying exam is held as a team event to build camaraderie, better provide feedback, and increase participation.
Each program is allowed to submit one exam. The exam has 100 questions and your team has 35 minutes to submit as many correct answers as you can.
The programs with the top scores will participate in the live SANS Challenge at the 2021 CNS Annual Meeting, October 16–20, in Austin, Texas. The live challenge will have multiple prequalifying rounds, followed by a 45-minute final round where the top teams will compete for undisputable SANS bragging rights, trophies, and cash prizes!
Qualifying programs will be notified by June 6, 2021, to allow programs to assemble a team of two residents and one faculty member, and make travel arrangements.
The SANS Challenge reflects a milestones-based assessment, uses peer-vetted questions, and accurately represents the high educational standards SANS has brought to neurosurgery self-assessment and education for more than a decade.
The SANS Challenge opens this spring. Check back for more details!
