    Daniel J. Hoh, MD, MBA is a neurosurgeon with clinical interests in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery. He serves as professor of neurosurgery and the Dunspaugh-Dalton endowed chair at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he also leads the spine division and directs the UF Health Comprehensive Spine Center. In addition, he contributes to institutional administration as assistant dean for revenue cycle management.

    Education & Training
    Dr. Hoh received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Stanford University and earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his neurosurgical training at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles County General Hospital, which included a dedicated year in neurotrauma and spinal cord injury at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. He pursued further specialization through combined neurosurgery and orthopedic spine fellowships at Cleveland Clinic, where he was fortunate to train under Drs. Edward Benzel and Gordon Bell.

    Leadership & Service
    Dr. Hoh 
    is Past President of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, having previously held roles including Treasurer, Member-at-Large, and Ex Officio. He has also served as Secretary, Scientific Program Chair, and Executive Board member for the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Spine and Peripheral Nerves. His editorial work includes positions as senior co-chair of Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine and deputy editor of The Spine Journal.

    Throughout his career, Dr. Hoh has been grateful for the opportunity to work alongside talented colleagues and trainees, contribute to academic neurosurgery, and help advance care for patients with spinal disorders.
